Bruce I. Poehlman

Project Manager

Bruce has worked with high-profile engineering and surveying firms in the St Louis area since 1974. He then opened his own company in 1986 to best utilize his vast experience in all Design and Management phases.

His responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operation of the firm and all civil engineering and land surveying projects. His expertise is in civil engineering and his responsibilities include the preparation of proposals, preliminary studies, sketch plans, cost estimates, development plans, and civil engineering construction documents. His years of experience have enabled him to build an outstanding reputation with his clients, as well as with local, county, and state regulatory agencies

Tom Prost has over 40 years of experience in civil engineering,-and in the design of residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional developments. His responsibilities include the preparation of specifications, cost estimates, development plans, and civil engineering construction documents. He specializes in the design of water quality, channel protection, and stormwater detention plans.

Tom joined the firm in 1993. Before joining the firm Tom was responsible for the supervision of the civil engineering staff of a well-respected St. Louis engineering firm. He was also a project manager for a St Louis firm whose client list included several municipalities in Missouri and Illinois that were upgrading their wastewater treatment plants in the late 1970s to comply with new environmental regulations.

Paul Mertz has over 30 years of experience in civil engineering and is the Registered Professional Engineer in Charge Poehlman and Prost, Inc.  His expertise is in the design of municipal, residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional developments. His responsibilities include the preparation of specifications, cost estimates, development plans, and civil engineering construction documents.

His current duties include the design of storm sewers, detention facilities, sanitary sewers, parking lots, roadways, playfields, and site layouts for educational and religious facilities, commercial projects, residential properties (individual lots and subdivisions), and recreational facilities.

In addition, he is an on-site networking and information technologist. His responsibilities also include updating all company computer hardware and software, instrument communications (both survey and office), and network administration. In addition, he provides maintenance for the company website.

Jeremiah D. Pellin

Jeremiah has over 20 years of experience in land surveying and is the Professional Land Surveyor in Charge for Poehlman & Prost Inc. His responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operation of the land surveying department and management of all surveying projects. He is experienced in analyzing boundary control and celestial observations. 

Before joining the firm Chris was field coordinator of surveying on several federal re-development projects for the city of St. Louis and H.U.D. His responsibilities included the preparation and review of ALTA, NSPS, boundary, and topographic surveys, land descriptions, and all types of recordable plats.

Dale E. Overkamp

Civil Designer

A.A.S., Construction Technology – St Louis Community College – Meramec, Kirkwood, Missouri 1980

Dale has worked in the civil design and engineering and surveying fields for 37 years as an AutoCAD drafting specialist. His expertise is in the drafting of residential, commercial, and Industrial plan drawings. 

Dale is responsible for the drafting of residential commercial and industrial sites, storm and sanitary sewers, roads, lot designs, and building layouts.
