DESCRIPTION:

Poehlman & Prost has a rewarding opportunity for an entry-level Instrument Operator in our Maryland Heights office. Under immediate supervision, the survey technician will assist in locating and determining a portion of the earth’s surface by planning, conducting, and recording field data for a diverse range of surveys.

POSITION DUTIES:

Operate survey instruments and equipment for a wide and diverse range of projects such as topographic, ALTA, boundary, construction, etc.

Locates and determines land by measuring and calculating points, elevations, lines, angles, areas, and contours.

Assists the party chief and field crew with recording surveys by preparing notes, records, drawings, and applicable field equipment/hardware and software systems.

Completes projects in a timely, efficient, and effective manner within deadlines and budgets.

Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of a High School diploma. Associate degree in Land Surveying or related curriculum

preferred.

1 – 3 years of experience preferred

Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to walk and stand for an entire day, if needed.

AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus

Missouri Driver’s License

Strong math, written, verbal, and organizational skills

Poehlman & Prost has a rewarding opportunity for an experienced and licensed Land Surveyor in our Maryland Heights office. The position of Lead Surveyor will require knowledge of Survey Pro equipment and software for the purpose of locating and determining a portion of the earth’s surface by planning, conducting, and recording field data for a diverse range of surveys.

REQUIREMENTS:
